On Tuesday 8th October I shall be running a special, themed, Spoken Word Open Mic night at The Dorothy Pax.
It’ll be free entry and the theme, given its October, is Ghost Stories and horror. Storytellers, comedians, raconteurs, and other spoken word types? This is for you!
So please drop me a message to book yourself a 5-10 minute slot. Depending on uptake? Slots may also be available on the night but it’s best to drop me a message!
As for who I am? I’m Adrian, host of the regular Strange Sheffield Ghost Tours, storyteller, raconteur, and what essentially happened to the weird kid in school once he grew up…
I’ll also be telling a few tales from my upcoming book: Stranger Sheffield. Many of the stories in that book were told to me by the good people of Sheffield, which has inspired me to open up the stage, and there will even be a prize for my favourite performer on the night.
It’s going to be the perfect event to launch us into the spooky season just in time for Halloween.
