As we approach the final Sheffield EMOM of the year, we have a special Christmas edition lined up that will give 12 EMOM performers the opportunity to stretch their legs with 30 minute sets. Those of you who have attended or played before will notice the change of venue on this occasion – the marvellous Dorothy Pax – based on the picturesque and lively waterfront of Victoria Quays, have kindly offered their space and lovely sound system to host all our noise-making antics for the night!
The performers (in no particular order) are as follows:
Filter Zombies – psychedelic post-rock with acid & d&b flavourings
CYOP – a unique style of intricate acid-jungle and electronica
Andy & Grace – Sheffield’s most supportive modular techno beasts
Professor Chill – ambient, dub and chill techno
f0ss – moving and refreshingly good tracker music
Hekla Fell – moody, industrial electronica interlaced with dub and drone
Sivernot – ethereal, dark and heavy musings from Russia
James Glew – high-grade electronica – host to the Derby EMOM
Die Dan Die – detailed, energising, emotive and evocative trance
Jackhno – electropunk & lo-fi dance – host to the Doncaster EMOM
Artists Child – ambient explorations alongside hints of deep techno
Alongside this excellent selection of genre-spanning acts, we have CYOP providing some splendid visuals and Grace providing her expertise with the sound engineering. We are also planning to livestream this event with the help of Lee Greatorex.
Whilst we don’t ever plan to charge for entry, any donations, no matter how small would be welcome and will go towards improving the look and sound of future EMOMs.
And finally a HUGE thanks to everyone who has come to play, dance, network and enjoy the most excellent, diverse and fun community of music lovers the EMOMs seem to bring together. Your support is so very much appreciated. The past 3 years really have been a whirlwind of joyous music, moments and connections, so thanks to you all for supporting the event as we head towards our 3rd year!
