We’re now taking submissions for visual art exhibitions throughout 2025 as part of our Come Hang With Us (CHWU) exhibitions.
There will be 11 opportunities for artists such as yourselves to exhibit at The Dorothy Pax.
Please note, if you have exhibited before, we’d rather give another artist the opportunity to exhibit here. However, we will still consider your artwork especially if there are new bodies of work that have previously not been exhibited at The Dorothy Pax.
We can only exhibit 2D visual art that can be hung on our walls.
We do not take commission from any sales you may make, 100% of what you sell is yours. As such, we cannot offer any help with framing or printing. Please note that we do not take payment on your behalf. We usually point the customer to your preferred contact method for them to liaise with you directly on payments and fulfilment. We ask that any artwork sold either stays up in the Pax for the duration of the exhibition or is swapped out at an agreed time for another piece of artwork. We are also unable to store artwork after the exhibition has ended for your customers to collect.
At most, we probably have enough wall space for upto 8 A1 artworks. If you get offered a slot to exhibit with CHWU, we recommend coming down to measure up and check out the hanging system that we have in place.
As well as your artwork being exhibited all month long, we offer a free launch night on the first Thursday of the month (excluding the Jan-Feb slot, please see section 2 for more information), where we invite our customer base down to view your artwork, meet the artist, and hopefully get you some sales. On top of this, we also offer free use of our DJ equipment that evening, so if you’ve got a friend who’d like to come along and provide your vibes, we can do that too.
Other artists in the past have also used this opening night to do talks and live demonstrations of their work.
